SATPE Conference Online – Zoom N5 Portfolio Session 1: 16th November 2020

Dear members,

Following a successful meeting this evening with our facilitators please see the information below for Monday 16th November.

N5 Portfolio Moderation Zoom Session 1

Time: 7pm-8pm
Zoom details:  These will be emailed out on Sunday evening.
Content:  The session will include information on:

– The use of materials such as marking schemes.
– The ‘common mistakes’ made by pupils, what to look out for and how to prevent them
– Marking and discussion of two SQA standardised papers
– Knowledge obtained from markers experiences such as’ how to answer’ structures.

Whilst there will be time allocated during the meeting for review of papers, should you wish more time to ‘pre-mark’ or follow the session on your own document, please use the links below.  Paper 1 will be reviewed by one of our facilitators at the beginning of the session and Paper 2 will be used for further discussion in the breakout rooms following this.

If you have not yet signed up for session 1 please do so here;  https://forms.gle/bGK1d4dfKD6yBpiD7.  The membership at SATPE has been significantly discounted, Even at this lower rate our fee paying members are the reason we can arrange resources and opportunities such as this.  Therefore we will be moderating attendance of the event using the sign up form.  If a name does not match this list they will be removed from the session.  Whilst it does pain me not to provide support to every single PE teacher in Scotland I must prioritise our members.
